The photo above is the inside of the bishop I made from tissue and wire. I like this view of it. It is different and I think it looks a bit like a spiders web.
The piece on the right is made of plaited gardening wire. It is based on the chess pieces but isn't meant to represent any one in particular. I like it because it is simple and, apart from the plaiting which is mindless, it was quite quick to make.
I was told by one of my tutors to make a much larger piece by weaving things together. I am still working on this. I find that I rule out a number of things straight off with out trying them. I wonder if I over think things. She told me to enjoy it but I don't seem able to relax into it.
While I was experimenting earlier with some acetate a bit of black paper got stuck to it because of the static. If I held the acetate about an inch and a half off the table the bit of paper would fall from the plastic to the table and jump back up again. I took a few videos of it. This is the best one.
